Official matchday parking

Leicester City currently sells advance parking on the Filbert Street car park for £19 per car. It must be purchased before matchday through the City Sales Centre and availability is limited; do not assume an away ticket includes a space.

Independent event parking operates around Freemans Common and Leicester Tigers, roughly a 10-minute walk away. Treat these as separate operators, check the closing time and avoid resident-permit streets.

By train

Leicester station is about 1.2 miles from King Power Stadium. Allow 30-40 minutes on foot using New Walk, Nelson Mandela Park and Welford Road; local buses stop on Aylestone Road around five minutes from the ground, but matchday traffic can erase the time saving.

Check the current local timetable for the final leg to King Power Stadium. Away coaches and minibuses should follow the instructions issued by the visiting club and must not assume a public parking bay.

Driving

From the M1 use Junction 21 and follow the A5460 towards central Leicester, then the football signs. Filbert Way and Raw Dykes Road become congested and controlled, so navigate to the booked car park rather than the stadium postcode alone.

Use LE2 7FL only for the general area, then follow matchday signs and the entrance named in your parking instructions. Allow extra time for residential roads and pedestrian traffic.

After the match

Expect the roads immediately around King Power Stadium to move slowly while pedestrians clear. Rail users should confirm the last practical connection; drivers may prefer to wait before joining the main route.
