Getting there & parking

MandM Edgar Street Stadium is an away-day destination where the final approach matters. Check the fixture information before travel because parking, segregation and coach arrangements can change.

Parking options

Compare official and private matchday parking

Official matchday parking

Hereford visitor information currently directs supporters to the large council pay-and-display car park beside the ground at Merton Meadow, with further public car parks within roughly ten minutes. These are public, unreserved spaces rather than club-guaranteed away parking.

Check the current council tariff, closing conditions and any fixture notice before travel. Accessible drop-off, coaches and any reserved club bay must be arranged in advance; do not use nearby residential streets or private retail parking without permission.

Private matchday parking

JustPark lists reservable managed spaces and private driveways in Hereford. Search around the stadium postcode, then check the real walking route, access window and cancellation terms before booking.

Private spaces are independent of the club; a very close driveway may still sit inside the post-match traffic queue.

Availability, prices and access arrangements can change by fixture. Always check the booking details before travelling.

By train

Hereford station is about three quarters of a mile from Edgar Street and the usual walk takes 15-20 minutes. The route passes Commercial Road and the city centre before reaching the A49 side of the ground; confirm engineering work and the return service, particularly for evening games.

By bus or coach

Hereford's railway and central bus stops are close enough that most rail visitors can walk. Local buses use the Commercial Road, Maylord Orchards and city-centre corridors, but route numbers and evening frequencies change; check the live timetable. Visiting coaches must follow the drop-off instructions issued for the fixture.

Driving

Edgar Street fronts the A49 on the northern edge of Hereford city centre. Approaches from the M5 commonly use the A4103 or M50/A40/A49 routes. Turn into Blackfriars Street for the Merton Meadow side, but follow live signs and restrictions rather than stopping beside the away turnstiles.

Use HR4 9JU only for the general area, then follow matchday signs and the entrance named in your parking instructions. Allow extra time for residential roads and pedestrian traffic.

After the match

Expect the roads immediately around MandM Edgar Street Stadium to move slowly while pedestrians clear. Rail users should confirm the last practical connection; drivers may prefer to wait before joining the main route.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 3 October 2026.
