Make a day of it
Hartlepool is unusually compact for a coastal away day: station, centre, marina and stadium are all close. An earlier arrival adds the maritime attractions without creating a difficult final journey.
Arrive by rail, use a mapped central venue and make the short walk to Clarence Road.
Use the waterfront for food or a hotel, then walk north-west to the Rink End.
Choose the marina for convenience or Seaton Carew for a quieter coastal base.
10:30-11:00 - arrive for the marina or National Museum of the Royal Navy.
12:30 - use a mapped venue whose away policy has been checked.
14:15 - walk to the Rink End before the main Clarence Road queue.
17:00 - return to the station or marina while road controls begin to lift.
Ward Jackson and Loons are mapped as check-first possibilities rather than guaranteed away pubs. Contact the venue for the fixture, especially for a larger following.
The National Museum of the Royal Navy Hartlepool and marina sit close to the station. The Headland and Heugh Battery Museum need more time and suit an earlier arrival or overnight stay.
Premier Inn Hartlepool Marina and Travelodge Hartlepool Marina keep the station, waterfront and Victoria Park within a practical walking area.
The Marine Hotel at Seaton Carew is outside the town-centre walk but works for drivers or visitors wanting a seafront stay. Confirm taxi or rail times back to the ground.
Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 12 September 2026.
