Town centre first
Use Hamilton Central and Quarry Street, then allow 20-25 minutes for the walk north-west.

Book a direct New Douglas Park space or use the current public-car-park instructions, checking closing times.
A sensible 3pm plan
11:45 - arrive at Hamilton Central, Hamilton West or the confirmed parking space.
12:00-13:35 - use the town centre, Academical Vaults or Bay Horse, with both pubs treated as check-first.
13:40 - walk towards Cadzow Avenue and follow the current visiting entrance.
14:10 - enter Main Stand Section J with the ticket and any concession evidence ready.
17:00 - walk to Hamilton West while road traffic around Caird Street clears.
Food and pubs
The Academical Vaults and Bay Horse are verified current venues but remain check-first because neither publishes a permanent away-colours guarantee. Hamilton town centre is the recommended wider base, while the Section J concourse is separate.
Things to do
Low Parks Museum and the Palace Grounds fit a Hamilton Central arrival. Chatelherault Country Park is better for drivers or an overnight trip because it adds a separate journey before the match.
