Make a day of it

Plan your Falkirk away day

Falkirk works best as a town-centre-and-walk trip, while drivers need a booked space because the stadium car park is not available to general away supporters.

Grahamstonbest rail arrivalTown centrebest pub choiceThe Kelpieslonger-day option
01

Town centre first

Arrive at Grahamston, use the mapped pubs, then allow 25-30 minutes for the walk to the North Stand.

02

Drive and pre-book

Reserve private parking or confirm the college overflow, allowing extra time for A9/A904 works.

03

Make a weekend of it

Stay centrally and add Callendar House, The Kelpies or the Falkirk Wheel with separate local transport.

A sensible 3pm plan

10:30-11:30 - arrive for Callendar House or settle into Falkirk town centre.

12:15 - use Behind The Wall, the Wheatsheaf or another mapped option.

14:05 - begin the walk to the North Stand, allowing for signed diversions.

17:00 - walk back to Grahamston while stadium traffic clears.

Food and pubs

The Falkirk map covers Behind The Wall and the Wheatsheaf as the clearest current visiting choices. The Railway Tavern is convenient for Grahamston but visibly Falkirk-popular, so it remains check-first.

Things to do

Callendar House and Park are the easiest additions close to town and the stadium. The Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel are major attractions but sit in different directions, so allow extra travel time and verify opening details.

Hotels near the stadium

Premier Inn Falkirk East is on the Grangemouth side and is a practical driving base. The Macdonald Inchyra Hotel is farther east and suits motorists more than rail travellers.

Town-centre hotels

The Orchard Hotel is in the centre near the pub cluster and Grahamston route. Park Hotel Falkirk is west of the centre and may suit visitors arriving via Falkirk High; check the walk or taxi plan.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 13 September 2026.
