Make a day of it

Plan your Coventry away day

The arena is nearly four miles north of Coventry railway station, so decide whether you want a straightforward stadium trip or time in the city centre before building the day around it.

01

Direct to the ground

Pre-book parking or travel to Coventry Arena, use an away-friendly pub near the stadium and enter through the South Stand.

02

City centre first

Arrive at Coventry station, use the broader city-centre choice, then allow 45-60 minutes to reach the arena.

03

Stay overnight

Choose the arena area for convenience or the city centre for more restaurants, pubs and mainline rail connections.

A sensible 3pm plan

11:00-11:30 - arrive in Coventry and choose between the city centre or travelling directly north.

12:00-13:45 - use a venue categorised for away supporters. The Longford Engine is the clearest designated option close to the stadium.

14:00 - start the walk to the South Stand and allow time for queues.

17:00 onwards - expect transport queues; wait for traffic to ease or return towards the city centre.

Food and pre-match drinks

The Coventry pub map separates designated, friendly, possible and home-only options. Arena Park provides familiar food outlets, but check pub admission policies on matchday.

If you have a few hours

Coventry Transport Museum, Coventry Cathedral and medieval Spon Street are convenient city-centre options. FarGo Village offers independent food, drink and shopping, but allow additional travel time.

City-centre hotels

Staying centrally gives the best access to the main railway station, restaurants and the evening economy. It also makes the cathedral and museums walkable.

Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 10 September 2026.
