Make a day of it
The Gtech is well served by several rail and Underground stations, and nearby pubs generally mix supporters. The main planning decision is the post-match station rather than the pre-match walk.
Arrive from Waterloo, use one of the mapped Kew or Brentford pubs and cross from Capital Interchange Way.
Use Brentford station and allow a longer walk, avoiding Kew Bridge's stairs and tight post-match queue.
Use the District line or Overground, visit The Pilot or Gunnersbury, then walk to the away bridge.
11:30 - arrive around Kew Green, Chiswick or Brentford and use a mapped away-friendly venue.
13:20 - move towards Capital Interchange Way rather than the home approach on Lionel Road South.
13:40 - cross the railway bridge and use entrances F, G or H.
17:00 onwards - follow the post-match stewarding plan and consider Brentford or Gunnersbury instead of Kew Bridge.
The mapped options are unusually broad: Tap on the Line, Botanist on the Green, Coach & Horses, The Pilot, The Gunnersbury and The Steam Packet are away-friendly. The Globe and The Griffin are home-only, and the East Stand concourse opens after entry.
Kew Gardens, the Musical Museum and the London Museum of Water and Steam are all close to the stadium. Syon Park is a longer westward option for an early arrival.
These options keep the final matchday journey relatively short. Compare event-night prices, parking and cancellation terms before booking.
A central base is usually better for the station, food and the evening after the match.
Travel, parking, ticket allocations and stadium procedures can change by fixture. Check the latest information from both clubs and the relevant operator before travelling. Guide checked 1 October 2026.
