Blackpool rewards an early arrival, but the rail choice, seafront weather and temporary East Stand all need a little planning. Decide whether the day starts around the promenade or goes directly to Bloomfield Road.

Use the closer station only after checking its less frequent service and your return connection.

Book a stadium-area or council space and avoid searching the residential streets near kick-off.
A sensible 3pm plan
11:15 - arrive at Blackpool North or the confirmed parking area.
11:45-13:40 - use the promenade and a mapped away-friendly venue.
13:50 - walk to the East Stand and allow for the current temporary entrance route.
17:00 - let central traffic settle or return by a checked tram, bus or rail connection.

Things to do
The promenade, Central Pier and Blackpool Tower fit an early arrival. Seafront distances are deceptive in bad weather, so protect enough time for the East Stand entry route.

A central base is usually better for the station, food and the evening after the match.
